High-speed network being developed by Sprint 

Sprint Corp. has unveiled plans for a new high-speed network that combines voice mail, faxes and Internet traffic over conventional phone lines.

The third-largest US long-distance company will spend more than $2 billion over the next five years to develop the system, which will eventually include a futuristic "video call" that will be cheaper than the traditional long-distance call.
